Michael Myers receives 2022 John Martin Outstanding New Member Award

Contec is proud to announce that Michael Myers, Clinical Sales and Support Manager for the Healthcare Division at Contec, has been named as a recipient of the 2022 John Martin Outstanding New Member award by the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technologies (IEST).

The award citation quotes, “Michael Myers, for his energy and willingness to engage in IEST, from his initial involvement presenting at ESTECH 2020 to his current role as a chair of a session for ESTECH 2022. He is a source of inspiration for all members.”

Myers focused on educating pharmacy technicians on best practices for cleaning and disinfecting in compounding pharmacies

Myers has been with Contec, Inc since 1998 working in various roles including product development, sales management, and technical support. For almost ten years he has been exclusively focused on Sterile Compounding Pharmacies. As the Clinical Support Manager for the Healthcare business at Contec, he is focused on developing educational materials and in-service teaching of pharmacy technicians regarding the best practices to clean and disinfect environments in 503A compliant compounding pharmacies – helping them become compliant with USP Chapters <797> and <800>.
